The noise is reduced thanks to a new noise reduction algorithm which is based on HLS video noise reduction engine. The new algorithm, named "HLS" is not dedicated to chrominancy, but it was created to reduce noise on chrominancy. But HLS algorithm can be modified easily to improve the noise reduction on chrominancy, which is what this filter does. In order to reduce the noise on chrominancy, the new noise reduction algorithm is set to use an additional chrominancy filter, which is able to increase the definition of the chrominancy signal and to decrease the amount of noise on chrominancy. The main idea is not to modify chrominancy itself but to add a chrominancy filter on the Y channel of the Y'U'V' system (red channel of VHS), in order to treat exactly the noise on chrominancy. This filter is very versatile, in fact it is able to reduce the noise on chrominancy of: - every type of chrominancy (including analog and digital video, VHS or DVD); - the chrominancy of the Y'U'V system - the chrominancy of the Y'Cb'Cr system (on a chroma monitor, since it can not be seen that's not a Y'U'V' monitor); - the chrominancy of the Y'CbCr system (on a chroma monitor, since it can not be seen that's not a Y'U'V' monitor). The effect obtained are 2X better than the one of standard chrominancy filter. Chroma Noise Reduction Requirements: The filter works best on Y'U'V' system video, on a VHS recorder in VHS, and on DVD. However, the algorithm can be adjusted to work on any chrominancy, including analog and digital video, VHS or DVD. It is even possible to improve the result of this filter. For VHS users, this filter should be used between the broadcast (without noise reduction) and the first step of the VHS recording process, so the quality will be improved. For DVD users, this filter should be used between the DVD (without noise reduction) and the first step of the DVD recording process, so the quality will be improved. However, this filter is able to handle any chrominancy, so it could be used also with a different color system. The filter should not

- increase the noise floor - reduce the amplitude - apply median filtering to reduce the noise - add a Gaussian noise when the luminancy is too high .. image:: _static/chroma_noise_reduction.jpg :align: right An example of noise reduction of a chrominancy. Chroma Noise Reduction is disabled in this example This filter applies median filtering to the chrominancy. .. image:: _static/chroman_noise_reduction.jpg :align: right A example of noise reduction of the chrominancy. Chroma Noise Reduction is disabled in this example This filter applies median filtering to the chrominancy and then adds a Gaussian noise to it. The added noise has a rather high amplitude (23.35) and not to reduce it too much. In fact, it is intended to reduce the noise but not to amplify the luminancy (or chrominancy) .. image:: _static/chroman_noise_reduction.jpg :align: right A example of noise reduction of the chrominancy. The feature rich microcontroller programming and testing tool. CORE Applications: This feature rich microcontroller programming and testing tool. A simple to use graphical user interface for microcontroller programming and testing. Designed specifically for small microcontrollers. Virtual AVR device (ATMEGA) compatible. It emulates any ATtiny or any ATMEGA microcontroller. A simple to use graphical user interface. No external libraries. No need to install external libraries. A number of features to simulate the microcontroller behavior. A microcontroller library. The new microcontroller library includes ATtiny microcontrollers. The library is divided in ATMEGA and ATtiny classes. The library is packed with samples to help you with your work. These samples can be used for ATtiny and ATmega projects. Easy to use graphical user interface. Tab based interface for easy use. Drag and drop to place the elements. Tiny components to ease the use. Element library for easy manipulation of components. Create complete circuits. Simulation of the microcontroller behavior. Mini application. Tiny stand alone application. Lightweight. This Emulare, is just a sample of the many we have developed in the last months. We are glad to see many great projects taking advantage of our tool. Hardware simulation Emulare is a useful tool to simulate the microcontroller. This is used to build circuit and check the behavior of it. It is useful to check the output and behavior of circuits made with microcontrollers. Bootloader This Emulare, supports the AVR bootloader for ATtiny and ATmega microcontrollers. Support for I2C Emulare supports I2C, a digital interface used to transmit and receive data between microcontrollers. It is used to communicate to the main microcontroller. The emulation is very good, and it was able to decode most AVR instructions, albeit somewhat slower than the native machine. However, this should improve in future releases. Additionally, Emulare provides an easy-to-use graphical interface which is ideal for testing. There are also a lot of features which can be enabled and disabled on a per-project basis. If you need to use an ATtiny with additional features, then
